An amazing boxed set of desk items with provenance.
The original leather box contains screwdown inkwell, vesta, penwipe, wafer box.
All four items carry a family crest for Algernon Freeman-Mitford, 1st Baron Redesdale.
Baron Redesdale was the paternal grandfather of the famous Mitford sisters.
The leather box is in great condition and all four items are in excellent condition the vesta has the tiniest of chips to one corner.
The lids are all silver gilt and made by Frances Douglas. One item is London 1836 the remaining 3 items are dated 1874.
