These are an early 19th century pair of wooden glove stretchers.

I refer to Treen/Pinto plate 388.

These are very long 53.5 cm.

They work more or less like the glove stretchers we are use to seeing, but I can understand why the design was modified.  They would be tricky to use.  The two narrow ends are inserted into the glove and the handles are pushed together at the top.

Super condition and the only pair I have ever seen.

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER FREE POSTAGE ON THESE SO PLEASE CONTACT FOR DELIVERY COST BEFORE PURCHASE.
