A very interesting 19th century Scottish horn snuff mull.  Unmarked silver mounts.  The top mount carries the crest of a hand holding a trowel together with the original owners initials.  The silver rim has the name Benjamin Clerk Abdn (Aberdeen. An internet search has come up with a Benjamin Clerk of Aberdeen who was a clerk working for a lime merchant A Milne in 19th century Aberdeen, this would fit with the . The lid has been recorked.
