An unusual rare French fan.  The end of the handle includes a vinaigrette.  Leather handle and outer casr, marked SJM Paris who I believe were known for selling high end items such as this.  Bte SGDG which indicates it was a registered design in France.  The sliding mechanism is in full working order the silk fan is damaged but does open.
