Charming pair of 19th century miniature wooden shoes.

Not sure of the purpose but guessing they maybe love tokens and associated with a marriage.

I think I am right in saying shoes were given for good luck.

Wonderful colour and patination.

Front and base decorated with tiny brass studs.  

May possibly have been painted at sometime as there is evidence of colour.

Simply delightful.
